1 April 2010 Largo alla barocco performed by

Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

On 1 April 2010 the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra (http://www.bpho.be) gave the Belgian premiere of the new piece of Peter Scheck: Largo alla Barocco. This formed part of the “Spring concert” to be held in Theatre St Michel and on program were also the following pieces: Frédéric Devreese: „Ouverture“, Johannes Brahms: Concert for violin and violoncello, and in the second half  Peter I. Tschaikowski: Sypmhony No 6 “Pathetic”.

The orchestra played Largo alla barocco with great pleasure and also thanks to the performance of the conductor Roger Bausier the composition was a success. You can judge on YouTube.

5 March 2010 Largo alla barocco – world premiere.

After the premiere of Sinners’ Eyes in Mariánské Lázně in February 2009 it was agreed with the Westbohemian Orchestra that the new piece Largo alla Barocco will be given in spring 2010. The composition is ready, and so I am pleased to say that it is audience friendly, beautiful and, I hope, also novel piece.

 24 November 2009 Symfonie c moll 2000 in Brussels – Velvet Concert

With great pleasure I can announce that the Belgian premiere of the Symphony c moll 2000 will be held on 24 November 2009 in the concert hall of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, one of the most beautiful concert halls in Brussels. The concert will be performed by the Chamber Orchestra of Mechelen under the conductor Tom Van den Eynde. In the first half will be given the Concert for violoncello h moll of Antonín Dvořák with Olsi Leka, soloist of the Orchestre National de Belgique.

The concert is organized at the occasion of celebration of 20 anniversary of the Velvet Revolution; that is why the concert is called “Velvet Concert”. The concert is held under the auspices of Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the EU Ms Milena Vicenová. As the Symphony c moll 2000 was created in Mariánské Lázně, the concert will also give an excellent opportunity to present Karlovary Vary region, famous Czech spas and their rich cultural and social traditions. The significance of the concert will also be emphasized by the presence of important personalities from the Czech Republic and from Brussels.

20 February 2009 Sinner's Eyes.

On 20 February 2009 the premiere of composition for symphony orchestra with dominant piano The Sinner's Eyes was given.

This composition was written during a very difficult time when my near friend was dying. The name Sinner's Eyes should symbolize a state of mind which everybody of us can sometimes experience. It is a feeling of transgression which we can see in particular at children who have committed something wrongly and do not want to confess.

The composition is also small contemplation on the essential questions of human life which come in front when all efforts to help are useless. The dominant position of piano and the lacking sound of clarinet are the particularities of this composition.

The 2nd May 2008 The Lullabye for Loveable Dogs.

For the 2nd May 2008 the premiere of the composition for symphony orchestra The Lullabye for Loveable Dogs was given. The performance was also farewell of Peter Scheck from Mariánské Lázně. The author has moved to join his wife in Brussels where he intended to continue with his composition activities. The composition was performed by the Westbohemian Symphony Orchestra under the chief conductor Michael Roháč.

The 16th Mars 2007  The Capriccio for Violin, Horn and Orchestra.

Great attention of all media enjoyed also the premiere of Capriccio for Violin, Horn and Orchestra performed on 16th Mars 2007 in the theatre hall in Mariánské Lázně. The soloist the First Horn of the Czech Philharmonics Ondřej Vrabec and the Deputy Concert Violon of FOK Prague Monika Vrabcová have ensured high artistic level of the performance. They were accompanied by the Westbohemian Symphony Orchestra and the conductor was this time the author Peter Scheck himself. The audience, out of which many of young people, has welcomed the modernized composition with great understanding.

July 2006 Japan - Semplice and Melancholy.

During his tourney in July 2006 in Japan the duo Fumihito Terada – violin, Michal Rezek – piano has performed on 6 concerts amongst others two compositions of Peter Scheck. The first piece – Semplice was given in the first part and the arrange of the composition Melancholy was performed as additional piece. Both compositions were warmly welcomed by the thankful Japanese audience with frenetic applause.

February and March 2006 the Rondo Pazzesco.

In February and March 2006 the composition Rondo Pazzesco was performed as part of the concert for youths in Cheb and Mariánské Lázně. Rondo Pazzesco is a crazy parody on non comprehensible contemporary music, the author jokes on what the other have composed seriously. The players yawn, the conductor couches, the trombones snore and in the end the whole orchestra lets out kisses to the audience. The young visitors enjoyed the production with great fun.

The 17th February 2006 The Violin Concert a moll "From the Summer".

The Violin Concert a moll "From the Summer" was performed in premiere on 17th February 2006 in the concert hall Casino in Mariánské Lázně. The soloist Funihito Terada (Japan) was accompanied by the Westbohemian Symphony Orchestra of Mariánské Lázně under the chief conductor Michael Roháč. The soloist has performed with deeply felt enthusiasm and the full auditorium has excitedly welcomed the composition with great applause. The concert was followed by all the regional media (TV, newspapers, radio).

June 2004 Melancholy with Symphony Orchestra of Youths Brno.

In June 2004 the composition Melancholy was executed by the Symphony Orchestra of Youths under the conductor Tomáš Krejčí the in the concert hall of Besední dům in Brno. The composition was played as the first piece and the audition has admired its consonant atmosphere.

28.June 2002 Symfonie c moll 2000 Mariánské Lázně.

My Symphony in c-minor 2000 was firstly given on 28. June 2002 in Marienbad. It was played by the Chamber Philharmony of Pardubice and conducted by Tomas Krejčí. The orchestra and the conductor as well performed it better than is their professional duty what contributed to the great success of the evening. I thank them very much.

The atmosphere at that concert was very spontaneously and unrepeatable. The biggest reward for my hard work on the composition and for all the struggles connected with performing it was the standing ovation of the public. This enforced the orchestra to add my short peice Melancholy.

The media - Mlada Fronta DNES daily newspaper, Czech radio, regional press - welcomed my composition as well. I’d like to thank all people who helped me and believed in me.
